江律师在北京东易律师事务所执业，主要从事涉外业务，在众多领域为国内外客户提供咨询、合同起草、谈判及争议解决服务，涉及外商直接投资、并购、商标及技术转让、贸易、服务/生产外包等。他曾在中国和美国两地担任某大型跨国高科技电信企业的企业法律顾问，参与该公司各类商务项目的详细策划、实施，同时针对该公司业务需要设计了各类标准合同版本并提供培训。在江律师参与的许多跨国商务项目中，他根据中外客户的商务思维及商务目标设计、实施相应的法律策略，并在谈判过程中通过促进当事人之间的沟通及针对所出现的问题寻求双赢解决方案，使双方最终达成协议。
江律师曾将众多的中国涉外商业法律法规编译成英文。他与柳宪章律师合作编译的中华人民共和国合同法等法律的英文本曾被美国一些著名法学院（包括哈佛、耶鲁、斯坦福等等）的教授选为教学资料。江律师应全国律师协会邀请担任全国律协主办的示范性培训项目的两位主讲人之一，内容包括“合同、法律咨询文书制作和国际谈判技能讲座”、“合同、法律咨询文书制作技能强化训练班”、“律师事务所管理技能高级培训班”、“企业法律部管理技能高级培训班”等，共有2500多人次参加。同时，江律师还热心于提高中国企业法律顾问业务和管理技能的工作，为众多企业的法律顾问举办过专门讲座。他是全球企业法律顾问协会中国事务委员会四位委员之一。

John is a partner with EastBright Law Firm. He has been active in PRC commercial and legal affairs since 1991, representing both Fortune 500 companies and startups. His expertise is especially sought by clients for commercial dispute resolutions and strategic transactions, such as mergers & acquisition, entry strategy planning and execution, etc.
The All China Lawyers' Association has appointed John as one of the two lecturers for its national training series, which covers legal drafting, cross border negotiation, mergers & acquisition, and law practice management. These seminars had a record attendance by over 2,500 legal professionals. John is also active in promoting the development of in-house counsels in China; he has designed and conducted skills training sessions for many in-house counsels. John serves on the four-member China Liaison Committee for the Association of Corporate Counsel, the world's largest in-house counsel organization.
Prior to co-founding EastBright in 2003, John was director of special projects in Beijing for the international law firm Lovells. His other experiences include serving as legal counsel for Nortel Networks between 1997 and 2001, and practicing at one of China's largest law firms. John obtained a Masters degree in business law from Peking University, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wabash College.
